Better Leaders Through Military Psychology -
Methods, Challenges, and Success Stories

Dear IMTA Colleagues,

It is a great honor and pleasure to invite you to attend the 61st International Military Testing Association Conference, which will take place in Tallinn, Estonia from 7th to 11th October, 2019.

We expect that the theme for the 2019 IMTA conference, “Better Leaders Through Military Psychology - Methods, Challenges, and Success Stories” will provide a foundation for many exciting and stimulating papers.

This year's conference will include the usual track presentations on occupational analysis, recruitment/retention, selection/classification, cognitive and non-cognitive assessment, strategic personnel management, organizational behaviour, leadership, and military operations.

Acknowledging the changing world, which becomes more dynamic, unpredictable, uncertain, and complex we are encountering the challenging problem: How to support the preparation of our military leaders to operate on such environment? With taking the multidimensional and interdisciplinary approach in research, we face new difficulties: how to measure or assess different phenomenon or processes. Therefore, we’d like to encourage you, not to share only success stories, but also different challenges and failures, you met on your research fields.

We invite you to submit a symposium consisting of up to five papers, or individual papers, which will be assigned to a symposium based on a common theme.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Yours sincerely,
