The 57th Annual IMTA Conference was held in Stockholm, Sweden
from September 21st till September 25th 2015
and was hosted by the Swedish Defence University, the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Defence Recruitment
Agency. This year's theme was 'Psychological selection, leadership and security in a high-risk military context: Theory and practice'
and the venue was the Scandic Star Sollentuna Hotel.
212 participants from 33 nations enjoyed the full program with
up to four parallel tracks, including 3 keynotes
and about 100 paper presentations, symposia and posters.
The IMTA Steering Committee endorsed the nomination of COL Dr Eri Hidayat
for the 2015 Harry H. Greer Award.
The Steering Committee was very pleased to accept a new IMTA member:
- The 'Society for Military Psychology (Division 19 of the American Psychological Association)
' represented by Dr Marty Wiskoff
The conference also included warm and well attended social events: a ‘Meet and Greet’,
a very nice buffet at the City Hall by invitation of the City Council of Stockholm and the traditional banquet at the Royal Karlberg Palace.
A guided tour to the Vasa museum and Drottningholm after the end of the conference made the week outstanding.
Maria ForsBrandebo, Anne Lindqvist, Rose-Marie Lindgren and their team did a wonderful job to make the 57th IMTA conference
an outstanding one. Cogratulations to all!
