The 52nd Annual IMTA Conference was held in Lucerne,
Switzerland from September 27th till October 1st 2010
and was hosted by the Swiss Armed Forces College to Lucerne.
The venue was the Astoria Hotel and the Culture- and Congresscenter of Lucerne (KKL).
148 participants from 26 nations enjoyed the full program with
up to four parallel tracks including 3 keynotes,
76 paper presentations and symposia and a number of posters.
The IMTA Steering Committee unanimously endorsed the nomination of Dr Renier van Gelooven, Director of the Netherlands' Behavioral Sciences Services Centre, for the Harry Greer award.
The Steering Committee was also extremely pleased
to accept a new IMTA member after the presentation by Dr Soumi Awasthy: the Indian Defence Institute of Psychological Research
. Congratulations to DIPR!
The conference also included warm and well attended social events: a ‘Meet and Greet’ at the Astoria penthouse roof top bar, the traditional banquet at the old and prestigious
Schweizerhof hotel and the IBTA at the Armed Forces College. Four optional tours concluded this wonderful week.
Dr Hubert Annen, Ms Nadine Eggimann, LTC Rolf Sainsbury
and their team did a fantastic job to make the 52nd IMTA conference
a professionally rewarding and personally enjoyable experience.
Thanks and congratulations to everyone!
