The 51st Annual IMTA Conference was held in Tartu, Estonia from November 2nd till November 5th 2009 and was hosted by the Estonian National Defence College. The venue was the Dorpat Hotel and Conference Center.

About 110 participants from 22 nations enjoyed the full program with up to three parallel tracks including 3 keynotes, 60 paper presentations and posters.

The Steering Committee expressed great satisfaction and gratitude towards the Estonian National Defence College that stepped forward to host the 51st IMTA Conference when it became clear that the US Navy Advancement Centre, that was planned to host the Conference in Pensacola, was no longer able to do so. The Steering Committee was also extremely pleased to accept two new IMTA members: the Estonian National Defence College and the United States Air Force Academy. Congratulations to both organizations!

The conference also included warm and well attended social events: a ‘Meet and Greet’ and the traditional banquet at the Dorpat Conference Center and the IBTA at the Estonian National Defence College. Two optional tours to Tartu and Tallinn... under the snow concluded this wonderful week

Colonel Aarne Ermus, Lt Psych Merle Parmak, Mrs Reet Kalamees and their team did a great job to make the 51st IMTA conference a professionally rewarding and personally enjoyable experience.
Thanks and congratulations to all of you!
